Default Smiter Monks Unite

So last night I started a monk...it's actually a test to see how high one could theoretically level in Pre-Sear...My monk is currently a level 7 and I've yet to do the pre-sear quests. But I found that I enjoy playing a monk...being a healer is not going to be my thing. I don't want to be constantly looking at peoples health...or listen to the idiot warrior bitch about how he died after he aggro'd 14 Sand Drakes...So I'm going to be a smiter. Any other smiter monks out there have any input as to a good smiter monk build, other than Mo/Wa?

Mo/Me, go Smiting/Inspiration. Keeps the energy high. Or Mo/N and use blood magic to keep yourself healed.

Being a monk is tough... most people are too aggressive and just run after the hordes before my energy gets back up... and then they wonder why I couldn't keep them healed...

fortunately for me I won't have this problem...as I won't be a healer.

I was thinking of going Mo/N and using blood magic to stay alive...or going Mo/Ele and using elemental magic to do extra damage in whatever area I was in and using the Healing attribute of monk to stay alive. Elementalists can do some serious damage.

Kuku Monk: Doesn't bother me...I will make it apparent that I am not a healer when I have to group...I will however make every attempt to solo as much of the game as possible and use henchies for missions when it's feasible.

They'll get all bent out of shape and wonder why you aren't healing them

I already have a mo/nec that i finnished the game with. She gone through as a healer. Think i may start a new char thats just smitting to see how that goes. Should be interesting. Think an all smitting el/mo would be cool? Since im smitting i dont really need divine favor and will get lots of energy storage.

Default here some stuff for ya to consider

I play a Mo/N ... love it ...

my elite varies between offering of blood, mark of protection or sheild of jedgment depending on what Im doing

of course .. i use zealots, balthazaars aura, symbol of wrath, scourge healing (pvp), if i have in sheild as my elite i also use holy strike. Usually the rest rotates from prot spirit, reversal to self heals.

goal here is usually follow a warrior and throw on zealots... then right before you decide to aggro the opponent, slap on sheild of judgement charge a warrior (who is likely coming after you anyways) cast scourge on him (this will likely be by the first knock down) by the second he likely still doesnt realize you have sheild on ... when he hits the floor hit holy strike, slap on symbol of wrath and a heal or reversal for some quick dps, when he tries to heal himself ... scourge deals him 84 damage instead which will likely be about a 40 point loss on a 40 point orison lol. its fun

i started a monk and deleted my mesmer since leveling a mesmer is hard cause NOBODY wants a mesmer in the group...(so unappreciated ) so i did a reversal and made the most in demand thing possible made a monk! I did the monk/Necro route. So as to assure quests I have EVERY attribute in healing I have 11 in healing and i am a lvl 10. I use the necro for the minions as they are great distraction and keep baddies off me, and liife steal blood, I plan on going heal and if anyone gets pissy I will just not heal that person. I build this one just for my guild, in the end i will be heal & protect as we have a heal & smite.

My main avatar is a Mo/N, but I find most of the N spells too costly in energy. As soon as I can, I am going to switch my secondary to E to get glyphs. I am a healer/smiter. I have 3 boxes on my bar for healing, 3 for smiting, 1 that is dependent on my current mission, and 1 rez (rebirth). I recommend going with Mo/E. I love playing monks, but I guess it depends on your playing style and personality. Smiting rocks against undead.

Mo/Ra works well. I don't have problems getting into groups when I post things like "Misfits/ unwanted unite! Smiting monk LFG. All interested pm me" I can generally get a decent group within a couple of mins. I never seem to run out of energy and if for some reason I do start to run low I still have decent bow dmg to use while I wait for my energy to come back.
